What is ADR?
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is a spectrum of less costly and more expeditious alternatives to litigation, where a neutral party assists the disputing parties in reaching a resolution. ADR allows for more creative and collaborative solutions than that of traditional litigation.
What is a Neutral?
A “neutral” is a third party privately retained by the parties to act in neutral capacity in the dispute resolution process selected by the parties. A neutral can perform a full range of dispute resolution processes—from traditional mediation, non-judicial settlement conferences, arbitration, neutral case evaluation and/or acting as a special master or private judge.
Arbitration options allowing the parties to define the process best suited to resolve their dispute, including customized rules, discovery protocols and an appeal procedure.
Facilitative and evaluative mediation processes allows the parties to achieve creative and collaborative results with the added benefit of Lori’s years of experience on the bench to help parties in obtaining realistic goals.
Neutral analysis including evaluations that allow attorneys to reassess risk and refine their strategies.
Court-appointed services such as Special Master, Referee or Private Judge provide parties with lower cost and more time-efficient avenues to resolve disputes. These court-appointed services can quickly resolve discovery disputes and motions for summary judgment and a faster track toward resolution through a privately scheduled trial of the matter.
