You won't want to miss Garvin County Sings' production of Rogers and Hammerstein's "Oklahoma!" in Norman this September. The musical tells the story of the courtship between a farm girl named Laurey and her cowboy love interest, Curly. Among many of the beloved songs is "Oklahoma!" which became the official state song in 1953. The musical has received several accolades including a Pulitzer and Tony Award and is considered one of the most popular musicals in American history.
