Celebrate the LGBTQ2SIA+ community during exciting city-wide events at Norman Pride Weekend this May. This year's theme, "All the Colors of Pride," will feature everything from a parade and live entertainment to a 5K run and Mother's Day Drag Brunch.
Start the weekend at Friday's Kickoff party hosted at EDO: East Downtown. Head to Andrews Park on Saturday for a day filled with family-friendly activities, inflatables, food trucks, live music, drag shows and over 90 vendors during the Pride Festival. You'll even have a chance to see this year's headliner Miss Alexis Mateo, a fan favorite and 2x Rupaul's Drag Race Allstar. Make sure to stop by the Festival Afterparty hosted at Blue Bonnet Bar.
Wrap up the fun with Sunday's Stride of Pride 5K run, Mother's Day Drag Brunch and downtown Pride Parade. After breaking a sweat at Ruby Grant Park, head to brunch at Legend's on Lindsey Street to enjoy a spread of coffee, orange juice, eggs benedict, fresh fruit zabaglione, blueberry muffins, sautéed potatoes, maple syrup-glazed ham and quiche florentine. The parade starts at 7pm at the corner of Jones Street and Main Street and heads east down Main in Downtown Norman. Prizes will be awarded to most colorful, most creative, most energetic and best overall parade groups. Youth ages 11-19 are also encouraged to show their pride by walking together as part of the free Youth March during the Pride Parade. The Parade Afterparty will be hosted at Recess Taco Park. Don't miss this opportunity to honor and celebrate diversity and equality in downtown Norman.
