For a special holiday treat, bring the entire family to the Nancy O’Brian Center for Performing Arts to enjoy the Norman Ballet Company’s unique version of the holiday ballet tradition, "The 2022 Oklahoma Nutcracker.” For two decades, the ballet company has been putting on this unique production with young actors and dancers from studios throughout central Oklahoma, who will be on stage with this year's special guest artists from the New York City Ballet Company, Soloist Emilie Gerrity and Principal Dancer Chun Wai Chan. Keeping the Tchaikovsky score and traditional storyline, this unique version of the Nutcracker ballet deftly weaves elements of Oklahoma history and natural treasures into the beloved story, creating a version that’s a magical holiday experience and Norman tradition for Sooners, young and old.
