The Norman Music Festival features over 100 bands on multiple stages, featuring everything from indie pop to classic folk rock. This free, independent festival takes place on the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of historic Downtown E. Main Street, east of the railroad tracks in the Downtown Norman Arts District.
Entertainment on Thursday night will be predominantly at the Opolis outdoor stage, while Friday and Saturday promise a full-blown festival atmosphere with street closures, indoor venues and large outdoor stages. Guests will enjoy rock and roll, country, hip hop, funk, Latin and electronica among the many genres represented at this festival. Beyond music, poetry slams, a spoken word stage and stand-up comedy will also be included throughout the weekend.
If you're in the shopping mood, browse through booths filled with jewelry, clothing and home decor. The coinciding open-air Arts Market features regional arts and vendors dealing handmade crafts and goods. This festival also offers something for all ages, including a children's area with music-related activities.
